How will the initiative unfold? Through five projects and five cores, universities will take the lead in discovering and validating viral targets and lead compounds. This includes in vitro and in vivo testing. The five projects are designed to further well-established forms of drug discovery as well as exploring mechanisms of action that have a high potential for success but have not been fully studied.
