Co-Director Fang Li, Ph.D., presented the Midwest AViDD Center’s work developing antivirals for SARS-CoV-2, Lassa, Zika, and Ebola at the University of Minnesota’s research recognition reception on March 28. The reception celebrated the 2022 Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research Rankings. The Medical School jumped from 13 in 2021 to eight in National Institute of Health funding for public medical schools and is now ranked 21 in the nation, including both public and private medical schools. Notably, the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics department is ranked first among public universities.
